June 17, 2010: Matt Geller (from the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association) and Tom LaBonge both visited with radio personality Peter Tilden to discuss L.A.’s food truck “issue.” After once again highlighting his desire to engage in a “robust discussion” with food truck vendors and fans, Mr. LaBonge later refused to debate with Mr. Geller on air.

Councilman LaBonge acknowledged a group of food truck owners and supporters before his annual “Tour LaBonge” bike ride on the evening of June 16. During his brief discussion, Mr. LaBonge promised to meet with truck owners and engage in a “robust discussion” that will hopefully lead to an equitable solution for food trucks owners and customers. Fingers crossed!

Tomorrow (Wednesday, June 16, 2010) at 4:45pm!!!  Please join us as we meet at the steps of 1st St. and Spring St at City Hall.  Bring signs, noise makers and most importantly PEOPLE!!!!  The more people the better.  We have the opportunity to make this a news making event.
